TRAVELING TO ESTONIA

Travelling to Estonia is easy, you can arrive here by plane, train, car or boat (ferries and cruises). As a member of European Union and Schengen area, Estonia is easily accessible to anyone looking to travel over from Europe.

Citizens from EU, USA, New Zealand, Canada and Australia do not need a visa to enter the country and you also do not need one, if you are travelling with a Schengen visa. Check the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website if you are in any doubt. It is always up to date with visa information and gives details of Estonian embassies abroad where they can be obtained.

Different possibilities of how to travel to Estonia:

BY AIR

Tallinn Airport has numerous direct routes to European capitals and bigger cities. With one connection flight, most of the world is reachable. Find your flight to Estonia:

Helsinki-Vantaa airport in Finland and Riga airport in Latvia are also very close to Estonia.

BY SEA

Tallinn and Paldiski have daily ferry connections to Helsinki, Hanko, Stockholm and Kapellskär. Find the best route and time:

BY TRAIN

It is possible to reach Tallinn from St.Petersburg or Moscow. More information: gorail.ee

There is also a Latvian train connection from Riga to Valga (pv.lv) and Estonian train from Valga to Tartu, Rakvere and Tallinn (elron.ee)

BY BUS

A good road network and convenient coach services link Tallinn and Tartu to many cities: Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vilnius, Warsaw, Prague, Berlin etc. Coach schedules are available on-line: 

TRAVELLING IN ESTONIA

Rakvere is easily reachable by trains and long-distance buses from all bigger towns in Estonia. From Tallinn, it is 1h 20min by train and 1h 30min by bus. Rakvere train station is located 3,2km from the Event Centre and Rakvere bus station 1,4km from the Event Centre.
